Shark Navigator Upright Vacuum – As Good as A
Dyson?
The Shark Navigator (NV22W, NV22L, NV22T) is a lightweight, compact vacuum cleaner intended for ease of use. It
encompasses all the features of a full-sized upright vacuum in a machine that is roughly half the size. The Shark
employs twin motors, one for the brush bar, one for suction, both of which are run from one handily situated power
switch.
The Shark Navigator is a bagless vacuum which uses Infinity Technology and 21 cyclones to separate dust and dirt
bits from the vacuum’s air stream, maintaining steady suction power for more effective cleaning. The Navigator’s
HEPA and motor filters are easily reachable and washable, saving you money over the life of the vacuum cleaner.
Efficiency and maneuverability in one diminutive machine, the Euro-Pro / Shark Navigator gives good functioning.
Onboard there is a 5-1/2-inch crevice tool, dust brush, and a 16-inch extension wand, all within easy reach. When
you require a little additional help, the Navigator has a 24-inch crevice tool plus a pet hair turbo brush on hand
to get the chore done! With a 12 foot super stretch hose and 30 foot power cord on this vacuum, you will not be
hunting for another outlet to get your cleaning tasks done.

Shark Navigator Vacuum Cleaner Review
The Navigator is the model shown in the latest Shark Vacuum infomercial where it is advertised as being similar
to a Dyson. While that is somewhat of a stretch, on the whole the Shark Navigator (NV22W, NV22L) is a pretty good
vacuum.
It has a unique 2 position switch which operates both the brush roll and the vacuum motor, with a helpful brush
roll indicator light.
We like the Navigator’s light weight, at less than fifteen pounds, you will not tire while doing general
vacuuming chores or stairs. The 24" crevice tool is a pretty handy feature too, putting an end to bending over to
do baseboards or looking for a ladder to reach an out of the way cobweb. Contrasting a lot of competitors, the
Shark Navigator’s onboard tools are good sized.
The downsides of the Shark Navigator Upright Vacuum are small, no witticism intended. The onboard tools are
covered by the power cord and hose, though this is not a big concern when the vacuum is in use (cord and hose
detached). It would be nice if the dust bin were larger, the Navigator dust bin’s capacity is about a pint and a
half which means you will not be doing much cleaning without frequent emptying of the dust bin. With that in mind,
the Shark Navigator is the perfect size for any kitchen pantry cabinet or other area of the house where recurring
spot cleaning is done.
For a compact vacuum, the Shark Navigator Upright Vacuum Cleaner does a good job with both bare floors and
carpets. It is petite and lightweight, making storage easy. The Navigator is well-matched to small homes and
apartments.
